Hey everyone — just putting out a feeler to see if anyone is interested in taking this certificate off my hands. I bought it as part of a package deal at a charity auction, but I doubt I’ll be using Uber anytime soon. It’s a code good for $20 off your first ride, new customers only. EDIT: Sounds like these are common freebies. I was planning to sell, but I think I'm going to find a charity who can use it instead, maybe help send someone to a doctor appointment (and maybe get threatened with rape and run over some pedestrians on the way).

Are you trying to sell it?

I hate to break the news to you, but every Uber user gets a referral code good for the same thing. Tons of bars, restaurants, and websites also have referral codes good for $20 off as well. It’s worth exactly $0.

I don’t really need to take Uber.

That sucks...oh, well. I’ve never even known anyone who has used it, and I’ve never seen the certificate before. Sounds like the people running the elementary school fundraiser auction got a wee bit scammed.

“Are we in Ensley? Why are you parking in an alley? Who are those guys?"

That’s about how I’d imagine it to go.

I checked into a hotel once and got one with my key cards.
